It's finally here. The Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive is available at Musician's Friend.com for pre-order. I know it is a souped up copy of some Axis pedals, but it is a thing of beauty, with one distinct benefit... it can switch from a shortboard to a longboard.
I've only had 3 pedals in my short drumming life... my first was a 2nd or 3rd hand Rogers complete with leather strap, a Pearl single chain drive double pedal from sometime in the late 80s, and most recently a Pearl P-2000C Powershifter Eliminator. So I've never tried a longboard, but I was intrigued after seeing Chris Adler of Lamb of God giving a demo . But unless the IRS is particularly generous this year, there will be no Demon Drive in my future. So for now, I'll dream and soon, I'm sure I'll be able to see some videos on youtube.
